Beautiful Mantle Wrap with Reclaimed Wood

Eric M sent us these photos of a mantle project he completed by wrapping and exiting mantle with reclaimed wood. He had to build up the 1987 mantle with 2x4s etc as the original mantle was only 6" tall and just the width of the bricks. He also made a rustic sign with a left over piece of the reclaimed wood. He did it freehand with a dremmel to get to white wood, then hand painted augured with flat model paint. The board was cupped, so Eric mounted it with stainless long screws with rubber grommets between the board and wall. Very unique!
